Sir, what’s with the sources? It’s almost impossible to find a source that says. 5:15 is hard rock. Probably everyone in the world knows 5:15 is a fucking hard rock song. Don’t know why you need sources. Progggy (talk) 23:03, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Jughead (band)[edit]

Hello, Progggy, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Meatsgains, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Jughead (band), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jughead (band).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Meatsgains}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Got it thanks, I’m pretty much new to wikipedia and I don’t really know how to edit things so I’m fine with it being deleted. Progggy (talk) 16:04, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced genres[edit]

I can see that you are really getting into it with people over this, and I can see that you are mostly right about what genres the songs belong to, but this is not the way it works here, and I will explain why: you and I are both well aware that Rush is a prog rock band, but you cannot be adding genres to songs without sources (reviews, books, etc) saying that they are of that genre. It shouldn't be hard to find for something as well documented as them. Yes, it's obviously prog rock if you listen to it, but Wikipedia is a very "Priests of the Temples of Syrinx" situation, you dig? All the gifts of life are held within our walls, et cetera. If you and I were allowed to just claim Boogie with Stu was a blues song without sourcing it to anything other than "listen to the song bro", some random yahoo could swing by and say it was a pop song on the exact same basis. Does this make sense? jp×g 23:25, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also, don't pull stunts like this, even if The Crunge was the worst Zeppelin song ever released besides Hats Off to Roy Harper. jp×g 23:27, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

July 2021[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Stargazer (Rainbow song), without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Why are unsourced genres such a problem? Progggy (talk) 15:25, 10 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

8-O You're just asking this now?? Seriously? The messages on this page alone talk about unsourced genre-changing going back some 11 months to August 2020. The problem with unsourced genres is the same as unsourced everything; it goes against Wikipedia's policy of verifiability. Please read that policy page, as well as the guideline about sourcing and the essay about genre-warring. It's astounding to think that you haven't seen all of these before now; they've been linked multiple times here and in the edit summaries reverting your edits. — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 23:33, 10 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I was just asking. Shut the fuck up. Progggy (talk) 01:26, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And I was just answering. Happy editing. — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 13:00, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alright you need to STOP. This is childish with your “unsourced genres” crap. Just stop arguing about stuff and move on. Progggy, you genre warrior Niceboi33 (talk) 16:33, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You may be blocked.[edit]

Stop the unsourced genres. They’re pretty annoying to deal with. Niceboi33 (talk) 16:35, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Progressive rock sucks[edit]

I just saw your comment on my edits, and you said that prog rock is good. Prog rock is far-right wing genre.

Hold up here man. Don’t go on soneone’s talk page and start an argument based on their liking of music. Niceboi33 (talk) 21:28, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

January 2022[edit]

Proggy has been telling JFP to "shut the fuck up" since July (see above). I see no reason not to block already. Star Mississippi 18:10, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. And they're going to be blocked for a long time if they even hint at anything like that again, but I'm OK with a block right now too - this has gone on too long, and my patience with genre warring is roughly nil. Acroterion (talk)
Same @Acroterion. Mine would be indef for that alone given the incessant warnings above. @Progggyconsider this a final warning on both. The next incivility or unsourced genre change and you will be blocked with zero hesitation. Star Mississippi 20:08, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Block me then motherfucker Progggy (talk) 16:21, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
