Awake Illinois moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Awake Illinois, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Freoh. I noticed that you recently made an edit to Acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk in which your edit summary did not appear to describe the change you made. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Freoh (talk) 16:59, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is a mistake. I'm not sure what misgendering means, I cleaned up the language state the biological fact of Levine's sex and include Levines claimed gender identity. The paragraph could go into detail how stating the facts of a person's sex can be a twitter terms of service violation. Qqgare (talk) 17:12, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I added a wikilink and a citation that I hope clears up any confusion over the term misgendering. The details of this Twitter policy seem outside the scope of this article to me, but might be worth neutrally mentioning on the Twitter suspensions article. Freoh (talk) 22:40, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The details of the specific twitter policy (https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/hateful-conduct-policy) are essential to the story of why Elon purchased the twitter. Babylon Bee published a fact about Levine's biological sex which twitter considers as hate speech "We prohibit targeting others with repeated slurs, tropes or other content that intends to dehumanize, degrade or reinforce negative or harmful stereotypes about a protected category. This includes targeted misgendering or deadnaming of transgender individuals"
Having the sentence say the facts of the tweet including the correct biological sex of Levine is more accurate this article inferring Babylon bee said something false aka "misgendered". Babylon Bee reported truth and twitter didn't allow that fact under it's TOS. Wikipedia should allow the fact of Levine's biological sex and not defame Babylon Bee saying they did something incorrect Qqgare (talk) 22:51, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the quote you posted, it seems more accurate to say that Babylon Bee was suspended for misgendering. I don't understand your fixation with Levine's biological sex, which isn't mentioned in the link you posted. Is this coming from a reliable source? Freoh (talk) 23:09, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
https://twitter.com/SethDillon/status/1505663712266493958?s=20&t=ZLlZ7Cjp5gx7j6FNee1GPw Babylon Bee published a tweet about included the fact that Levine is biological male. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/meet-rachel-levine-one-of-the-very-few-transgender-public-officials-in-america/2016/06/01/cf6e2332-2415-11e6-8690-f14ca9de2972_story.html Levine is a biological male and at birth was named Richard
That biological fact conflicts with the twitter ToS. It seems more accurate to say Babylon bee was suspended for reporting a true statement and twitter ToS doesn't allow some true statements about biological sex due to gender identity politics. Qqgare (talk) 23:34, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This seems like improper synthesis to me. Freoh (talk) 23:39, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
