Greets- Talk pages for Sun and Mercury don't seem to exist. Wikipedia doesn't seem to allow me to create these pages. It only allows the creation of a personal page. I don't see how this will be seen by the general public or by those who would be interested

in these specific subjects.
On the Sun page the rotational velocity is stated as 7.189×103 km/h (the superscript 3 has not copied correctly). This takes more

space than just listing as 7,189 km/h. If the number was much larger then it would be more efficient to list the data using scientific notation as shown.

I have stumbled across other typos, errors, and questionable data. If the pages are locked to prevent vandalism and they don't

seem to have talk pages for those subjects then I will post them here. I don't know what else to do.

I sent an email to the volunteers of wikipedia support but the person reading it must have scanned thru it as they didn't have

advice or suggestions specific to my situation. It was indicated that I could edit the page myself when I had indicated in my email that the page was locked. It was also indicated that I could go to the talk page but I had also indicated in my email that the talk page didn't seem to exist and the site didn't seem to allow me to create it. It only allowed the creation of this talk page. I understand they probably get voluminous email and scan thru them in an attempt to try to respond to as many as possible, but this actually doesn't save time as this then requires a second email since important info was missed in the first email requiring a second to get the specific problems addressed. This seems to fall under "no time to answer the first email correctly but plenty of time to answer correctly the second time".

If anyone happens to stumble across this and has advice/suggestions for these problems, I would appreciate any assistance.

Hi, due to high levels of vandalism the page on the Sun can only be modified by editors whos accounts are at least 4 days old and have at least ten edits on wikipedia the same applies for the Mercury page. When these criteria have been met you will be able to edit this. the talk page for the Sun is here, the talk page for Mercury is here
Hope this helps Amortias (T)(C) 23:43, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
