Saeed Aganji is an experienced journalist and researcher who focuses on Iran. He started his career in journalism from 2002 when he went through several media training courses in Iran's southern media centre. He has worked with many Persian and English media agencies for which he investigates matters related to Iran from a security and political perspective. Saeed was the political service journalist of Tahlil-e Rooz which was banned in 2009 and the editor-in-chief of Saba student-led magazine at Zarghan University. He received his high school certificate from Beheshti High School followed by an Associate Degree in Materials Science from the Azad University of Zarghan. He then studied his Bachelor's in Business Management at Payam Noor University which he left unfinished. Saeed Aganji was arrested in the events that followed Iran's 2009 presidential election. He is currently a member of the International Federation for Journalists (IFJ).
