Parashakthi Temple[edit]

Also known as “ Eternal Mother Temple “,Parashakti Temple is a tirtha peetam (piligrimage) in the west for Devi ParaShakthi worshippers situated on a topographically unique piece of land in the heart of Pontiac,Michigan, USA. The Temple land is an active vortex of Divine energy known for its mystical properties and was once home to the powerful native Indian healers. The Temple was envisioned by Dr.G.Krishna Kumar (M.D., F.R.C.P.©, F.A.C.G., F.A.C.P. ) in a deep meditative Kundalini experience when Adi Shakthi , creative “source” of everything in the universe and beyond, guided him to build a temple for “Her,” for peace, happiness, paramount success and protection of the world. Dr. Krishna Kumar then devoted all his activities and life around this vision from the Mother and has donated millions of dollars for the construction of the Temple.

Dr. Krishna Kumar’s vision of the Temple is consistent with the Hermetic teachings by Hermes Trismegistus that the universe and all creation originated and transcended from a single source of the eternal cosmic Divine. It also resonates with Albert Einstein’s vision of a New Movement that will bind all humanity as one family (entity) removing us from the eternal slavery. According to Albert Einstein “We experience ourselves our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us"[1]. Dr. G Krishna Kumar’s vision of the Divine Mother at the Temple as “One supreme source of undivided eternal consciousness that is unproduced producer of the universe transcending into all life forms” leads us to self-realization that we are all one universal family (Vasudeva Kutumbam)”.

Main Deity- Devi Parashakthi Divine Mother as Maha Mayee-Maha Maree is referred to as Devi ParaShakthi KaRuMaRi Amman having transcended from Parabrahman to Saguna Brahman, and then to Nadha Brahman, Nadha Bindu (light and sound), to Trimoorthys (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva), and as various Gods and Goddesses (Istha Devathas). “She is the Mother of Kundalini Shakthi. Abhishekams are performed to Mother every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Navarthri is celebrated in a very grand manner with the Goddess being decorated with special Alankarams every day and music concerts being held all nine days.

Parashakti Temple has Shanmatha form of worship[2] which was proponded by Adi Sankara and Dr. Krishna Kumar believes one should reach higher Divine conciousness through their Istha Devatha with the six forms of Shanmatha namely 1. Gaanapadhyam  : a shrine for Lord Ganapathy. 2. Shaaktam : A shrine for Mother Parashakthi, 3. Kaumaram : A Sannidhi for Lord Subrahmanya who is Gnaana Shakthi, 4. Saivam : A shrine for Lord Kubera Siva, Nandikeswara and Lord Nataraja, 5. Vaishnavam : A shrine for Lord Venkateswara, Lakshmi Narasimha 6. Souram : A Sannidhi for Lord Surya Bhagwan as Satyanarayana and Lord Jagannath.

Sankatahara Chathurthi, Pradosham, Satya Narayana Puja are some of the rituals observed. Krishna Jayanthi , Kandha Shasti, Lord Jagannatha Ratha Yatra are annually observed.

Temple Deities There are very few Temples in the world which dedicate shrines to every aspect of Shanmatha and offer prayers to them. This Temple is unique with some unique idols and spiritual aspects consecrated in the Temple apart from the regular Shanmatha murthy’s are 1. Bogha Sidhar, a Sidhar known for his skill in alchemy and healing who propitiated Lord Subrahmanya in Palani Hills

2. Lord Venkateswara with Sri Devi and Bhudevi: A rare, active, boon granting form of Lord Balaji found only in Thirupathi and Parashakthi Temple known as Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy. Shridhar Guruji, a highly revered Guru refers to the Temple as Bhuloka Vaikuntha.

3. A Tantric form of Lord Ganesha facing Neelavani Ambika. 4. Unique and rare Saligramamas personally energized and granted to Dr.Krishna Kumar by Sidhas and Maha Purushas in India

5. Virtual and vibrant presence of Shakti in some of her Dasa Maha Vidyas such as MahaKali, Lalitha Thripurasundari, Buvaneswari, Raja Mathangi, Chinnamasta and other aspects of Divine Mother.

6. Vrindavan in West: Jagadguru Maharaj Sri Purushottam Goswamiji, the presiding priest at Sri Radharamana Mandir, Vrindavan has glorified the Pontiac Parashakthi temple as the Bhakti-Dhama (Vrindavan Dhama) in the West. Parashakthi Temple is one of the very few places in the world with the direct manifestation of Lord Krishna in all three aspects as Jagannathji, (child aspect of Lord Krishna), Radha Krishna (adult aspect of Lord Krishna) and Guruvayurappan (elder form of Lord Krishna).

7. Trishul :A unique Mahakali / Mahalakshmi Trishul where Devi has manifested herself as an aspect of Shyamala Devi and Neelamadhava Perumal, one of the most powerful aspects of MahaVishnu

8. A separate shrine for Navagrahas and Dhrishti Nivarana Peedam where devotees worship Goddess Bhagavathy to nullify the evil influences and remove the evil eye. The Dhristi Peetam has high cosmic forces in the form of Lalitha Thripurasundari, Balai Thripurasundari, Shashti Durga and Ashta Nagadevathas.

9. Pujas for Naga Devatas representing our Kundalini energy .

10. Varahi Homam is performed every month on the new moon day ( Amavasya ),

The Temple is highly energetic as it is built on mystical vision and the Divine Energy of the vigraha form manifested herein is by the guidance of Goddess to Dr.Krishna Kumar. She also paves the way for him to procure vigrahas and establish Her various aspects in the Temple. The Goddess grants special mantras to energise the Vigrahas and these Mantras are shared with the devotees since they are given by the Divine Mother “Herself”. The mantras received by Dr. Krishna Kumar under Divine Mother’s guidance hastens the awareness, reception and perception of the respective cosmic forces instilled into the Yanthra made by renowned mystics in India. The Yanthra enhances the respective cosmic energy to manifest in the Vigrahas.

Hey, I don't think we should delete the Content from the page, just because it might no longer be applicable, it would be better to add a paragraph about what happened and maybe rewrite some parts to use past tense. If you have any questions, or disagree just reply --Info-Screen::Talk 13:23, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
