Links to www.footballtop.com[edit]

Hi. I wanted to let you know that I, and other editors, have removed the links to www.footballtop.com that you have been adding. We've done this for a number of reasons, as outlined in guidelines here.

  • Wikipedia is not a directory of web links
  • Wikipedia doesn't link to fansites unless they are particularly notable and authoritative
  • Links in the "External Links" section should either be to official websites, or those that contain notable and factual content that could not be added to the article (e.g. for copyright reasons). I don't see anything like that at footballtop.

Thank you for your contributions, I hope you still feel you can contribute to Wikipedia. If you think I've got it wrong, could I suggest that you discuss what you are doing at the Discussion page for the Wikipedia Football Project? You'll find other editors there who can consider if links to footballtop are worth adding to player articles. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 17:21, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
