Hello, I'm Lil-unique1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of songs recorded by Brandy, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. - I've notice that you still delete/remove edits with reliable resources attached to articles, you also completely deleted some stuff from Brandy unreleased songs that were actually recorded by Brandy; some songs that have leaked online years back, also some resources provided from ASCAP, BMI, SESAC etc. You should also do your own research on whatever information or "reliable" resources that is provided before automatically deleting. - I deleted all songs that leaked per WP:LEAK unless they have been addressed by Brandy, have been covered by reliable sources or are notable per WP:GNG. If a song is sourced from YouTube, an MP3 upload site etc it is not notable or encyclopedic content. ASCAP, BMI, SESAC etc. don't tell you what year a song was registered or what album if any a song was recorded for - there was some synthesis and speculation going on. Artists register songs that they wrote and demoed for other artists too. Furthermore, wikipedia is not a fansite or blog. This is a serious encyclopedia/fact-based site. Where a song was listed as recorded by Brandy on ASCAP, BMI, SESAC it was left. Also songs that leaked and are findable on YouTube etc should not be included. Nor should speculation.
- If you want to maintain a never ending list of songs recorded by Brandy or any other artist start up your own blog. We certainly should not be promoting leaks or posting links to such content. Artists work very hard on material - so do songwriters and producers. It is their creative copyright and right to own their own work. I've been editing wikipedia for over 12 years. You're right about ASCAP, BMI, etc not providing the years and album of songs, if that's the case all or most of the songs listed under "Unreleased Tracks" shouldn't have the albums or years listed down of any sort, since we're not entirely sure. I don't even think it's a good idea to have articles on Unreleased/Shelved songs on sites like this, leave that out to the bloggers Realbizness (talk) 19:12, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

The credits are taken from the album booklet, as mentioned in my edit summary. There is a copy/scans of the album booklet available online here. This also supported by Spotify and Tidal. These three sources trump ASCAP and BMI, as both often list alternative variations of songs and also unreleased songs. Anyhow, if its listed in the album booklet and digital credits, one can be fairly certain that those people worked on the version of the song which has been released. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 10:11, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Smh that's really ridiculous, they did the same thing with Rihanna 'Loud' booklet, #4 fading says it's written by Ester Dean but come to find out that it was actually written by a singer/songwriter named Q. Amey, he ended up being the one who was nominated a grammy for the song anyway though.. but people still believe Ester wrote the song Realbizness (talk) 10:27, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

- If you have noticed an error you should feel free to correct it in line with the above.
