[edit]Hello, I'm GabrielF. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living person on Russell Welch, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. We do not accept information that is sourced to personal communication with the article subject. We generally discourage the use of primary sources such as police records and require reliable secondary sources such as newspaper reports. GabrielF (talk) 03:18, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Russell, We generally do not allow people to edit articles about themselves due to concerns about conflicts of interest. More information is available at Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. If there are specific claims in the article that you feel are inaccurate, then I'd encourage you to go to the article's talk page and make suggestions for improvement. The talk page can be found by clicking this link: Talk:Russell Welch or by going to the Russell Welch article and pressing the "Talk" tab at the top of the page. You'll want to support the information that you provide with citations to reliable secondary sources, such as books, newspapers or magazine articles. An alternative approach is to email info-en-q@wikimedia.org and provide as much detail as you can in the request.
- I read through the article and I found that a lot of the content is either unsourced or is cited to material that I do not believe meets our standards - in particular the "Alleged anthrax attack" section. The best course of action may be to remove a lot of the content or delete the article entirely. GabrielF (talk) 05:54, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
