Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Yarennoka.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 07:41, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yarennoka

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Yarennoka, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Yarennoka. - Jameson L. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Yarennoka.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Yarennoka.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. east.718 at 03:37, December 18, 2007 03:37, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yarennoka!

[edit]

Hi, and thanks for your contributions! Have you considered joining the mixed martial arts project here? It's full of like-minded editors who colloborate on MMA articles.

Anyway, I've had to remove the big banner from the top of Yarennoka!. While it looks good, we've got a policy that states that we should use as little non-free content as possible, and so I had to pick between the banner and wallpaper. Please get back to me on my talk page if you've got any concerns. Thanks! east.718 at 21:25, December 21, 2007

Some of your notes are rumors, and others are peacocking. Most of them are good and germane though; I'll swing through and take a look soon. east.718 at 21:06, December 25, 2007

Yarennoka

[edit]

I'm not sure how much more can be done to the Yarennoka article itself. It's got just as much info in it as the official PRIDE shows. If you have more information about it to add to the intro, or you can source some figures about buyrates/attendance/whatnot, that would certainly be helpful.

One way you could be immensely helpful is if you took more pictures while you were there. The closing ceremonies picture is awesome, but it's not nearly as helpful as pictures of some of the individual fighters would be. Several of the fighters on the Yarennoka! card do not have pictures of themselves on their individual pages. If you have some that you could upload, it would greatly improve those pages. Gromlakh (talk) 14:01, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This looks like a classic content dispute. Unfortunately, I don't have nearly as much time as I'd like to pay attention to MMA articles. :-( Why don't you try requesting an informal third opinion to try and resolve this? east.718 at 11:16, January 8, 2008

Kawajiri

[edit]

Nice pic! Any chance you could crop it down to focus on just him? It's kinda hard for the uninitiated person to tell which one is Kawajiri the way it is now. If you could crop it to a smaller version focusing only on him, that would be an absolutely perfect picture. Gromlakh (talk) 01:14, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is happening right now on the fate of UFC 84. Because the outcome of this discussion could affect other MMA event pages and how/when they are created, your input would be greatly appreciated. The discussion is happening here. Thank you for your assistance! Gromlakh (talk) 17:47, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Instead of simply reverting my edits without addressing the problems, could you please start using the article talk pages before engaging in potentially controversial edits? No other recent MMA show has a play-by-play of every single fight on the card, and I don't think it's at all needed for this show. Please discuss the issue on the talk page to build a consensus for it first. Gromlakh (talk) 22:12, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have tagged Image:DREAM_pressconf.JPG as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add {{not orphan}} to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:DREAM pressconf.JPG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:DREAM pressconf.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:27, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
