Hi Toadette,
Thank you for reviewing my submission. I'm a little confused with the reason given, however.
My article has citations to seven different sources ranging from the Dictionary of Canadian Biography to local newspapers to the Biographical Dictionary of Architects in Canada. These are all in-depth, reliable, secondary and independent sources that discuss the historical and cultural significance of the building's architect and the artist who created its mural. Existing Wikipedia articles recognize the architect's and artist's value to Canadian history and creative culture. The addition of this article would expand Wikipedia's existing body of knowledge with respect to these two individuals.
After comparing my submission to existing Wikipedia articles about other Nova Scotia churches, I can see that my article has as many or more sources. See, for example, the entries for St. George's Anglican Church (Parrsboro, Nova Scotia) and St. Paul's Presbyterian Church Merigomish and Gordon United Church (Reserve Mines) (even though this particular church is now closed it still its Wikipedia entry).
Given Trinity Anglican Church's connection to the history of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and its connection to Robert Harris, a famous Canadian painter, and the architect William Critchlow Harris, I would ask that you reconsider your decision to accept my submission. Trinity Anglican Church is as historically, architecturally and artistically significant as the three buildings I cite above, if not more so. It seems strange it would be denied an entry of its own.
If you have specific suggestions about how to improve my submission, I would, of course, be happy to incorporate them into it. At the moment, I'm not sure what to do and am very confused because it seems Wikipedia entries for other Nova Scotia churches have been approved with far fewer sources than the one I submitted.
Thank you for your time.
Best,
