I have put the following message on the talk page of one of your students. This is not inj any sense a criticism, learning new things on Wikipedia can be very daunting, but it would be helpful if you were able to re-iterate to your students some of the important rules about Wikipedia.

At present User talk:Natsatache/sandbox contains material copied from here. Copying copyright material is absolutely prohibited on Wikipedia even in a sandbox or a user page or anywhere. This is not just plagiarism, this a legal issue. Please remove the copied material and then read the rules at WP:COPYVIO. From your user page, I guess that you are probably a student just setting out at the start of a course. It might be an idea to flag up the very serious issue of copyright violation with your fellow students and academic leads. Thanks  Velella  Velella Talk   23:14, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

Thank you Velella, and I will reiterate this rule to my classes. Best, Robin Rhirshorn (talk) 14:08, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
