Looks good to go. It would be good to have more detail on the famous Parliamentarian purge. Was slighting always permanent, or did some castles get rebuilt? Some continued to be used as homes & it would be good to have more on this. When did the word start? I can add from OED if that would help. Johnbod (talk) 15:31, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks User:Johnbod, all good points and pretty straightforward to address. I was in two minds about including something on when the term was first used as I wasn't sure if readers would care bu having someone ask about it helps settle that question! Looks good. I've picked up one or two minor issues - sentence structure that could be polished for ease of reading and so forth - but I'm kind of running around like a chicken with its head cut off today so I should give this some more attention when I can focus on it properly. If I understand you correctly, this content is to replace the current content on the slighting article which is already in place? Then what I'd suggest is that you go ahead and implement it and drop a request at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page and I'll fold it into my schedule and give it a once-over after I'm done with the article I'm busy with. Then we can sign this one off. I've already got the current article on my watch list, so in fact the request is not strictly necessary.

@Cadar: That's the plan, copy this and replace the current article. A few people have commented already, but just to be on the safe side to manage the COI of writing about a subject I've published on I'll give it a couple of days before copying the draft over. Thanks for watchlisting article. Richard Nevell (talk) 19:05, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
