Speedy deletion of Gibraltar Rugby Club

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Gibraltar Rugby Club, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a1.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Chris Btalkcontribs 13:44, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your message. You created Gibraltar Rugby Club, presumably in error, and then created Campo de Gibraltar Rugby Club. The former is empty so it will be deleted before long. The latter is fine and will not be deleted. Regards and happy editing. -- Chris Btalkcontribs 14:20, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry, you didn't write anything incorrectly. :) The thing is that adding content without citing a reliable source is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. You may wish to take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Or if you prefer, I can re-add it for you. -- Chris Btalkcontribs 14:34, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's very good - much better now. Good work. I re-added the paragragh to the Gibraltar article along with a reference so it's fine now. Here are some pages that you might find useful and help you get used to Wikipedia:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Remember to Sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page and someone will show up to answer it. Image tagging for Image:Cupwinners.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cupwinners.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free image File:GRUFC.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:GRUFC.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 05:10, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
