Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:L.Halifax001 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/L.Halifax001. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  - TheresNoTime 😺 21:19, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

This account does not have any connection to the user L.Halifax001 or association with the subject in question, Nicholas Furlong. This account was created to contribute to and edit pages of musicians currently working in the genre of rock and alternative. After reviewing the block request made by FMSky and the page's edit history, it appears FMSky has repeatedly flagged L.Halifax001 for editing the page Nicholas Furlong (musician) due to a COI, and is now preventing other users from making contributions by making/removing edits based on personal opinion/speculation with no actual proof, which is a violation of Wikipedia's rules and regulations. As for my removing the COI from the page Nicholas Furlong (musician), I reviewed the information on the subject's page while adding new information to the "Discography" section. In it's current state, the page appears to be non-bias, there are notations in the edit history clarifying corrections and updates that were made to the previous information, and user L.Halifax001 has discontinued editing since divulging their COI. Upon reviewing this information, I'd like to request that my account be unblocked, any contributions that were reversed be re-reversed, and FMSky be blocked from editing or tagging the page Nicholas Furlong (musician) in the future. I would also suggest that a moderator add a "[Require autoconfirmed or confirmed access]" tag to the page Nicholas Furlong (musician) in order to prevent future discrepancies.

Decline reason:

This is a checkuser block, meaning that it is supported with technical evidence, so sockpuppetry is not in doubt. If you are not a sockpuppet, you will need to provide a plausible explanation as to why technical evidence would indicate otherwise. Unblock requests should only deal with your actions and not those of others, nor should they request page protection or other measures. 331dot (talk) 20:38, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
