Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Tony Ricca a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Tom Ricca. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Thank you for the feedback. Since I'm new here and learning, would you be able to help me correct what was changed? Someone had redirected Tom Ricca to a page for Tony Ricca when it's really Tom Ricca, Tony was just a stage name as it's noted and redirected for some reason. After reading different articles, I found many inconsistencies that need corrections. I appreciate your feedback and help. Thank you. Rodanen (talk) 13:54, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Articles should be at the best known name of the individual, not necessarily the legal name. That being said, you can request that the page be moved here. McPhail (talk) 20:57, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living person, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 21:38, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am new here and trying to correct inconsistencies in articles. The individual that I'm looking to correct has made an entertainment impact in his town and looking to correct some issues in his article. Some verifiable information on him dates back to articles only found in newspapers not web based. If you would be so kind on helping correct this. It would be much appreciated. The name was redirected from Tom Ricca to Tony Ricca, which should just be Tom Ricca. That's how he's known. Thanks so much. Rodanen (talk) 23:28, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
