I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

Also – thanks for all your anti-vandal work! I want to encourage you to leave messages on vandals' talk pages. It helps to warn folks of the consequences of their behavior. Cheers, Figma 23:53, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :) I started in the German Wikipedia some days ago, maybe I'll do some vandal work here too ;) And thanks for the link to the user messages page. --Roland Kaufmann 00:08, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're very welcome! You are a machine — cranking out those anti-vandal edits. Even so, I thought you might be interested in checking out some extra tools they have at the Counter-Vandalism Unit page. Twinkle is the newest one I've seen around and is widely used. Twinkle looks good, going to give it a try :) --Roland Kaufmann 01:50, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Giving warnings

[edit]

Hi. I would like to comment that when you are giving warnings to people, please remember to subst the warning template and to sign with four tildes: ~~~~. For example, to give a uw-test1 warning, you would put
{{subst:uw-test1}} ~~~~
Thanks and happy editing! -- King of 01:46, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Swisscom Logo.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Swisscom Logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:20, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
