May 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add links to pages for promotional purposes, as you added links on several pages to Multibionta. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Multibionta, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Multibionta and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Axlrosen (talk) 02:40, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Multibionta[edit]

Hi again. Can you tell me how you've addressed the concerns that I mentioned about Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy, with regards to your re-creating this page? I don't want to re-nominate it for deletion until you've had a chance to explain. But of course, if it doesn't follow Wikipedia's policies, it really should be deleted. Thanks. Hi Axlrosen:

Thanks for getting back in touch with me regarding the Multibionta page. I would love to explain my page reposting and the revisions that I made in order to meet standards. Firstly, I wrote this page from the eyes of a general healthcare consumer/professional. I had found a Multibionta coupon on an online bargain forum and noticed that there were tons of viewer questions about the product as it is new-to-market/a-first-of-its-kind (i.e. probiotic strains, contents per caplet, efficacy, safety, etc). When I performed a Wikipedia search I was surprised to find no information available. That said, I put together the page (note: my first) with the intent of providing an impartial look into what Multibionta as a "Probiotic Multivitamin" actually is.

As per the original "Speed deletion" nominations for the "Marketing campaigns" and "External links" sections (suggested by Peridon), I couldn't agree more! These have been removed as they definitely direct readers to self-promoting material. Note, contributor Peridon agreed that these revisions should be made and that the page itself should not be deleted.

With regards to the COI condition, I have made an attempt to explain that there is no relationship at hand. I have also made revisions with the intent to remove all self-promoting and campaigning information.

In terms of establishing an NPOV, I have ensured that facts are stated and supported by reliable scientific sources (i.e. Int J Food Microbiol, Nut Rev., Int J Clin Pharmacol Ther, Clin Nutr.). I have tried to use references that provide a look into the medical/scientific/pharmacological components found within Multibionta (i.e. research on safety and efficacy).

With all this in mind, I definitely know there is still room for improvement! I am aware that there is some information on the page that implies the benefits of taking Multibionta. This is not the intent - I am trying to supply credible information on the caplet components that are scientifically shown to be beneficial. Axlrosen, can you please confirm that this may still be an issue and, if you are willing, provide some insight into how to improve the page further!

As a brand new health professional and contributor to the Wikipedia world, I would love to request your support and guidance. My goal moving forward with the page is to continue to remove any self-promoting statements and push forward with adding more third-party information that explains the safety/efficacy of this new and first probiotic multivitamn supplement. I want to be a valid addition to the community that adds only completely unbiased content.

All said, I would appreciate the time to make proper edits if you oblige.

Thanks so much. Looking forward to seeing your response.
