Geoffrey Boycott
Hi there, I'm reviewing Boycs. Should be an easy pass, but I may find a thing or two that may need tweaking. Thanks Aaroncrick (talk) 02:54, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
GAN notice
Hi SGGH, you currently have at least one article up a WP:GAN in the Sports and recreation section. In an attempt to clear out the backlog there, User:Wizardman asked all sports WikiProjects to review at least two articles from that section. I'm now going around and asking anybody with an article nominated under Sports and recreation to review at least one article in that section to help us clear the backlog out so your articles can finally be reviewed faster! iMatthew talk at 15:07, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

I'll read through and make some comments. Nothing to stop passing GAN though. Regards, Aaroncrick (talk) 12:42, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
- Couple of minor questions. Aaroncrick (talk) 12:27, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
Any idea what can be done about User:Corbynz, who seems determined to restore the article to its former inadquately referenced and non-neutral state? I've undone his edits once today, but he promptly reinsted them. JH (talk page) 17:14, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Birthplaces
Hi. I don't see quite why you are removing birthplaces (and deathplaces where appropriate) from cricketer biographies. It's surely relevant information. Having them in the intro may not be ideal (actually, I don't mind it if it's next to the birthdate/deathdate), but where the article is only a stub or doesn't have an "Early life" section, or where there is an inadequate infobox or none at all, then removing information seems to me to be a misplaced priority. I reinstated Bert Sutcliffe's, but I see you've done the same to Brendon Kuruppu. By all means move them around, but please don't delete stuff that's relevant. Thanks. Johnlp (talk) 10:54, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- Re your reply. Yes, but in neither case I mention is this information anywhere else in the articles, so by moving it out of the intro, you're effectively deleting it. If you were placing it elsewhere, I wouldn't have a problem. But I don't think WPMOS is meant to override the need for articles to have relevant content. Johnlp (talk) 14:10, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
