Retirement?

Sorry to see you go. I wish you would reconsider. If you must though, I the request that you not leave with a disparaging message against another editor who was only interpreting consensus of a discussion from the outside, in a case where nobody else seemed to be willing to explicitly do that. I don't think you meant to use the word "harassing" there, in any case. I suggest changing it to "dispiriting", "disheartening", or any other word that better applies. Harassment has a really specific meaning and connotation, and counts as a serious allegation.

Thank you for all your good work in improving the encyclopedia. Really hope to find you've reconsidered. Usedtobecool ✉️  10:46, 9 August 2019 (UTC)

Usedtobecool, Thank you so much for the nice words. It's all due to frustration. Thanks ~SS49~ {talk} 08:49, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
Welcome back - I can understand your frustration, and fear that some in the Wikipedia community don't fully appreciate how demoralizing these somewhat arbitrary processes feel. Well that was an odd decision I thought, given even the closing statement recognized that there was a significant majority in support of lifting the ban, but then added an almost everyone seems to acknowledge, either implicitly or explicitly, that the effect of the ban is still necessary when I didn't get that impression - and certainly didn't think that when I supported lifting it. I'm also disappointed that saying you won't be closing or relisting AFDs was used against you ... as some think that should be left to Admins anyway. And I didn't see anyone explain why they thought effect of the ban was still necessary, 5 months later. And then there were the claims you'd made demands, which the one Admin wouldn't recant, even after I pointed out that I didn't see any demands and you were polite and said please. Perhaps User:GoldenRing has some further thoughts, and what the next step would be in removing the ban? I'd have hoped at least the "sorting" restriction be removed, as it all looked well sorted before the ban went into place, and no one even mentioned that part of the ban was still necessary. Nfitz, Thank you so much. ~SS49~ {talk} 11:53, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
