Categorisation

Whilst your enthusiasm for categorisation is commendable, please hold off for a bit until you've read some of the relevant guidelines. For one thing, please don't add links to categories that don't exist - see WP:REDNOT, the rules are different for red-linking categories as compared to red-linking articles. More generally, try to avoid WP:OVERCATEGORISATION; most biography articles have plenty of categories, 3-5 categories is sufficient. And you have to be particularly careful when categorising by people's sexuality - see Wikipedia:Categorization/Ethnicity, gender, religion and sexuality. In addition to this, please familiarize yourself with our duplicate categorization rules, and do not add Category:LGBT sportspeople to people who were already in an "LGBT sportspeople from [Specific Country]" subcategory. Bearcat (talk) 16:33, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
