[edit]If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Your block was correct because of your username. Wikipedia's username policy forbids accounts to be named after organizations. Accounts are for individuals - not organizations, companies or groups of people.
Do you work for SASSA, or represent them in any capacity? If so, then you would be considered a paid editor by Wikipedia's definition. You would have to make the necessary disclosures as outlined in Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure policy. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 06:24, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Drm SASSA is a government institution. I don't work for SASSA. But I'm writing for website https://sassacheckstatus.net.za/ and discuss the news and updates about the SASSA grants. Like I noticed that the latest update of grant was not present on the wikipedia.org so I edited and referred to my website. I understand your concern at the same time that, however, you see it's necessary to update the information. I can't be wrong in providing the update about the information but if you think that my user name was wrong, unblock the account to let me change it. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sassastatus (talk • contribs)
Hi, I got the point that you're saying that to edit resource code as articles of creation. And as a disclosure thing, I'm not getting paid by anyone because I own the site and I write for it. My legal name is Syed Muhammad Saad. I don't run it as a organization and its a private blog website. My future contributions would be that I would to add updates but yeah would I would post it as articles of contribution to get it reviewed. Would let me know if I need to provide anything. - Your last unblock request was declined, so you will have to make a new one with the
{{unblock-spamun}}
template. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 05:22, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
