Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to ROT13 may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 00:13, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm MrOllie. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Hi, MrOllie! Thank you for reaching out. As a creator for interactive educational content I'm always seeking feedback on how to improve. In addition, I'd like to enrich Wikipedia with my changes, not burden authors like you. The guidelines about links you mentioned point out that "Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject and cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to [...] other reasons." In general, I consider interactive simulations related to the subject as a very relevant resource to an understanding of a subject and such interactive experiences cannot be integrated into a Wikipedia article. I understand that the goal should not be an extensive list of tools below every article. In my opinion, the richest and most accessible experience (e.g. language, ease of use, mobile friendliness, web-enabled) should win and may "normally be linked". I'd like to know what's your perspective on this? Maybe I missed something. FFraenz (talk) 21:38, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We generally do not link to interactive simulations, and you should never add links to your own website (See WP:ELNO #4 and 11). My perspective is that these links do not belong on the encyclopedia - that is why I have removed them. MrOllie (talk) 21:43, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no mention about interactive simulations being generally excluded in the guidelines. The website in question is an Open Source project dedicated to educational content related to cryptography. It is neither a blog, a personal website, a fansite, nor is it my own website. I'm okay with the links not appearing on Wikipedia but I'm disappointed in the reasoning. FFraenz (talk) 22:20, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
