Hello Scid, welcome to Wikipedia!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, -- JoanneB 16:42, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|global block — While I understand the reason for blocking (my ISP is using proxies which severely limit the number of distinct IP addresses), it would be nice if I was able to edit a page when I'm logged in. Is this possible? Scid (talk) 22:21, 23 July 2011 (UTC)}}[reply]

Yes; request IP block exemption.Jeremy v^_^v Components:V S M 00:54, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

IP block exemption - OK, hereby I would like to request an IP block exemption. My apologies if this is not the proper way. Scid (talk) 01:13, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

As per below, IPBE is not required, and the block should not be disallowing edits while logged in. Please post the exact message you receive when you try to edit while logged in (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 11:08, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

The only block I see on your IP address is an anonymous-only one; it should not affect you while you are logged in. What is the block message you are getting when you try to edit? Hersfold (t/a/c) 06:25, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I note your historical and recurring problem. I have initiated an IP block exemption, and all should now be well. If not, please post here. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:53, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Um, IPBE's are only given on an as-needed basis. I just took a look at the IPs this user is trying to use to edit, and do not see a need for it. I would like to know what the exact problem this user is having is, because I do not believe that IPBE is the solution to it. Hersfold (t/a/c) 03:50, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
