The article Scott Wilson Group has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Conflict of interest

I've had to tag Scott Wilson Group as a possible conflict of interest. Based on your username, you may be associated with the company, and it's not considered appropriate for articles to be written by their subjects or those connected intimately with them. As far as I can see, the Scott Wilson Group meets the standards for inclusion. The problem is that the article should be the work of others commenting on the company, rather than someone inside the company commenting on their own work. It's a case of preserving neutrality. An entry on Wikipedia isn't supposed to be advertising. It is quite acceptable to contribute to the talk page of an article to explain errors, and get another editor to correct it. Suggestions for articles not currently in Wikipedia can be made either at Requested Articles or Articles for Creation. Sam Blacketer 15:53, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Given that the article doesn't meet any of the criteria for speedy deletion, and no-one has nominated the article for deletion, then it will be staying. Any editor can nominate an article for deletion, so I recommend (if you haven't already) that you click on the tag above the article that says "watch". This will add it to your watchlist, which you can check to see if the article has been edited - including nominations for deletion. Several users have had a look over it and OpenToppedBus removed the "conflict of interest" tag this lunchtime because "it's had enough other eyes". Again, if you have useful information, please feel free to suggest improvements at Talk:Scott Wilson Group. In practice, if someone puts a deliberately false and malicious statement in the article, you are not likely to get criticised if you remove it and explain why.
