Please understand that without an appeal a batsman can't be 'timed out' and no 'controversy erupted' as you claim. The only source you claim is not the most neutral or reliable one. I haven't seen it written anywhere on Cricinfo, which is the best source for such matters, that Ishant Sharma stirred up a controversy at all. In fact, Fairfax newspapers in Australia have written that he was a great example of a good man on the cricket field, especially when he shook hands with Andrew Symonds despite claiming him on 30.
