Regarding the files you added to Neon Trees[edit]

Hello, I'm Novusuna. I understand that you are editing on behalf of the band Neon Trees, and have added some photos to their article at their request. First, thank you for admitting upfront that you are editing on behalf of a group. Second, I just want to make sure that the files you have uploaded are in fact your own work, as claimed on the image description pages. Files uploaded to Wikipedia must have accurate sourcing and copyright information, and if the images are non-free, they must have a fair use justification. I just want to make sure that you're following our policies and guidelines. Happy editing! Novusuna talk 23:25, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have the copyright information, I thought it would be eaisier to just throw them up as my own photos, however I now hove the correct copyright information and would like to upload them in the correct manner. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but could you take the previous photos down so I could upload them correctly? Shadowisahero (talk) 23:51, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have much experience on Commons, which is where the files are located, and as I am not an administrator I can't delete files anyway. I have, however, asked for assistance from users with more experience on Commons. Novusuna talk 00:27, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly you obviously have a conflict of interest and should carefully read and abide by WP:COI. Because the images are not actually your, you must get the copyright owner, who may not be the band but the photographer, unless it was a work for hire and the copyright was part of the photography contract, to verify their permission by following the procedure found at commons:COM:OTRS. The OTRS team will correspond with that person and figure it out but be prepared for a wait as they are volunteers and there is a backlog that can take up to a month. Make sure they note the names of the images in the verification email. I will remove the "own work" claim and add an "OTRS pending" tag to the image. However, if it does not come through they will be deleted. ww2censor (talk) 10:48, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what to do from here, can I just tell you the copyright information here? For the image of crowd surfing I have explicit permission from the person who owns the photo to post it on the page, however the permission was given over twitter, should I attempt to contact her via email to receive elicit permission that cannot be disputed? As for the image of the whole band, the image is on Flikr at this address- http://www.flickr.com/photos/schwegweb/8475993231/in/photostream/ If my research is correct, that means I will still be able to post it on the page.
