Welcome!

Hi, Silverz37. Welcome to Wikipedia!

My name is Thparkth. I'm a Wikipedia editor, just like you. I saw that you created an account, so I wanted to welcome you to the project with a nice plate of virtual cookies.

I've been around for a few years and I have a fair understanding how things work around here. I'll be happy to help you if you have any questions about anything. If you do, you can either go to my talk page and leave a message there, or just hit "edit" on this page (which is your own talk page) and write something underneath this text. Don't worry too much about formatting or spacing or any of that stuff, just type away and we'll figure it out.

A couple of things that you might need to know straight off:

  • You can pretty much jump in and start editing articles. We trust you. Of course there are some rules, and people who vandalize pages or cause legal problems don't tend to stay trusted very long ;) You might want to read this link on how to edit a page.
  • There's an area called the sandbox where you can play around as much as you like, and get used to the software. Click here to go there now..
  • It's a really good idea to get into the habit of typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments on talk pages. This "signs" your comment with your name and a link to your user page. If you don't, a robot will do it for you and nag you for not doing it yourself. Of course you don't add those to actual articles, just on talk pages.

I hope you enjoy editing here. As well as writing new articles or editing existing ones, there are a thousand other activities going on as part of keeping this place the great project that it is. You'll certainly find a niche here if you choose to hang around!

A tag has been placed on Tau Phi Sigma, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Please note that I removed the speedy deletion tag from the article, because it has never been deleted before following a deletion debate. All the previous deletions were speedies. Thparkth (talk) 03:44, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
