Hello, Sir Mancbuiler, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Adminstrator question: You left a note on my Visitor's page asking about being an adminstrator. See Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship for information. In general, adminstrators are expected to be contributing editors to Wikipedia for some time before seeking to be administrators. In addition to contributing article content, adminstrators should be familiar with policies and processes and contribute to many aspects of Wikipedia. — ERcheck (talk) 11:46, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Administrators

[edit]

I'm sorry, but I will not be nominating you as an admin at this time. You've been with Wikipedia for just two weeks and have only 8 mainspace article edits. Part of the admin nomination process involves receiving community support — which is based on your contributions and activities on Wikipedia. An administrator is expected have been an active contributor to Wikipedia for some time, have a substantial number of major edits/article contributions (many put 3000 as the minimum), have participated in other aspects of Wikpedia, etc. I'm glad you are showing interest. Take time to learn the ropes, contribute in areas that you have expertise, etc. If in the future, you are still interested and have shown yourself to be a respected community member, you could consider admin nomination. — ERcheck (talk) 18:32, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image uploading

[edit]

For the image you uploaded of King Juan Carlos, you asserted that it is a picture you took yourself. It appears to be a promotional image, and most likely is subject to copyright. You indicated that the Alfred Hitchcock image was from "some website" — in this case, you must include the URL of the website that the image was taken from.

Before uploading further images, please review Wikipedia:Image use policy and appropriate copyright tags.

Thanks for uploading Image:Alfred_Hitchcock_TV.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Slugworth Chocolates Incorporated., suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. — ERcheck (talk) 16:55, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:KingJuanCarlos on throne.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Uploader unlikely to be copyright holder.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
