AfC notification: Draft:OSM Maritime Group has a new comment
[edit]February 2022
[edit]Hello Sivmetavvm. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:OSM Maritime Group, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Sivmetavvm. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sivmetavvm|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message.
"Actually, we are the #1 in Crew management in the world" from your recent edit summary suggests that you are intimately associated with the organisation. If so you have a duty to make a formal declaration one way or the other. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 09:50, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for making that declaration. I've copied iyt to your user page and also added a template to the draft. By making the declaration you have ensured that you are not blocked for undeclared paid editing. Thank you for understanding that payment is broadly construed as any tangible benefit.
- I very rarely review a draft more than once, so another reviewer will take this iterative process forwards. My advice to you is now to read WP:NCORP with care to seek to ensure that your article passes it, and to continue to understand excellence of referencing. We always look for quality instead of quantity. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 11:06, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

- Hello,
- a simple work is turned into a mission impossible. Listen up my friend. If it's not important to have the 7th global company in Ship technical management and FIRST global company in Crew management, hence on average, 3RD SHIP MANAGER in the world visible on Wikipedia it's up to you.
- Now about the "We need multiple sources (at least two) of deep or significant coverage with in-depth information *on the company* and (this bit is important!) containing "Independent Content"."
- The first is Lloyd's List (Google it please. NO, in fact you have it on Wikipedia so kindly READ ABOUT THIS SOURCE)
- The second is "Top 5 Crew Management Companies in the world 2021". Maritime Zone. 13 December 2021.
- So, these are at least two sources with deep (?) information on the company containing "Independent Content". Obviously we have different perception of how this sentence matches with the proven evidence.
- I'm tired. Proceed as you wish. Our page outranks Wikipedia anyway. Sivmetavvm (talk) 06:59, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
