Notability[edit]

The case of LeBoon v. McIlvain is only notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in independent sources. This is likely to be the case if the case sets a particular precedent or if it has received a significant amount of press attention. Neither of these circumstances appears to attach to LeBoon v. McIlvain. The notability of the case hinges on it being the first of its kind (as your article asserts) and that this first-of-a-kind nature has set a new precedent upon which future cases might be based. But there is no verification that this case is the first of its kind; and because Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, we can't know if it will set a precedent until it is cited as a precedent.
