Copyrighted images

[edit]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. Note that Wikipedia does not allow use of non-free images on the biographical page of a living person. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Ward3001 (talk) 02:25, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed on the image upload page you were unsure of the status of the image. It was originally from Getty Images from a red carpet photoshoot. The location you obtained it from did not own the copyright. As a copyrighted image with no free use - Getty doesn't release images that way - we are unable to use the image in a bio article. Image:Selena Gomez.jpg and Image:763376841.jpg have therefore been deleted as they have no possible use on wiki. Please don't upload any other images from unknown websites and use in bio articles. Extremely unlikely any of them are free-use as required and unless you can show a free-use release we can't use them. --NrDg 02:52, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Reinvent Yourself

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Reinvent Yourself, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hello. Concerning your contribution, Image:David Tavaré.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). Last warning

[edit]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive uploads.
The next time you upload an inappropriate image, such as Image:David Tavaré.jpg, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You continue to ignore copyrights, introduce copyrighted images with a false claim of ownership, depite numerous warnings above (not to speak of at commons). Stop it right now! Speedy deletion of Image:Eddy vilard.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Eddy vilard.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Eddy vilard.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. AmaltheaTalk 21:36, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously! I warned you before, I warned you on commons. Stop uploading images that you happen to find on the web, and above all stopy lying about who is holding the copyright to the pictures you upload. The latest one even had a watermark, and the page it was taken from explicitly said that they hold the copyright to all the content!
If you do that again, or again link to a copyrighted image which you uploaded on commons yourself, you will be blocked. --AmaltheaTalk 21:43, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
