January 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Tablet PC do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:10, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Snowtigr. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 00:33, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me  JJMC89  but there is no conflict of interest here, just trying to get Tony Award Winner David Alverez's Wikipedia page reinstated because when he was in the United States Army it had to be removed and now that he is out of the Army and working in the Entertainment Industry again he would like to have his Wikipedia page pack. If you wont do it with the info I gave you please do tell me the steps he needs to take to restore his deleted Wikipedia page. Here is the link to the New York Times article showing he is out of the army and back on Broadway. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/25/arts/dance/david-alvarez-on-billy-elliot-the-army-and-on-the-town.html?_r=0

Thank you Linda A. Epstein for David Alverez

You are representing David Alvarez. You have signed your name as "Manager" even. That is the very definition of a conflict of interest; you have a personal association with a subject of a Wikipedia article. I urge you to read the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline so that you will know how to conduct yourself on Wikipedia.
The article is not deleted. It exists at David Alvarez (actor). It looks like an administrator restored it today. Note that with a conflict of interest, you should not make any substantive changes to the article. You can correct spelling errors, dates, add reliable sources, things like that, but any substantive changes should be proposed on the article talk page. ~Amatulić (talk) 00:00, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
