November 2023[edit]

Please do not editorialize in our articles as you did at List of tartans. That is not an article about the Sobieski Stuarts and their books, and not a place to vent about them and their history, or approximately half of the entries in that list would have to have duplicate text saying the same thing, since they invented tartans for at least that many clans. And we never mention in an article what the article used to have in it. Also, just pasting in bare URLs is not how to cite an online source; WP:CITE and Template:Cite web cover this. If you don't have an interest in editing at Wikipedia any further but want to make changes to such articles, it is best to post your concerns and sources on the talk page of the article, and let a more experienced editor deal with the matter. Anyway, I have fixed up the material on Buchanan at the tartan list article, making more Buchanan-specific informative use of the two sources provided, which are now cited properly.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  05:49, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
