Speedy deletion of Staff brooks

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Staff brooks, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TrulyBlue (talk) 10:27, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We do not keep pages for test purposes. If you wish to start an article for a "test" or to show your students something, please create it outside of the mainspace at User:Staffbrooks/sandbox. Thank you, Matty (talk) 10:29, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. You'll be lucky if a page like this lasts five minutes, nevermind three weeks. Your best option is to use a page in your userspace as suggested above. Sorry, I know what you're trying to do, but it's the only way this type of demonstration will work. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 10:35, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can my page be left up for 3 weeks please, as I am showing my students the importance of checking sources

I appreciate I could put in my sandbox, but then it won't be able to be accessed by the main menu - the way learners would use wikipedia

Sorry, but we cannot leave obvious mis-information on Wikipedia, even if it is good intentioned. The mainspace is for real articles only. I understand what you are trying to do, but you'll have to find another way to go about it. Sorry, Matty (talk) 10:39, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you are going to search the page at school, you can change what is included in your search results by ticking the boxes on Special:Search to include userspace and user talk pages. Thats the best I can think of. Matty (talk) 10:41, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
