Information icon Hello, I'm Charlesdrakew. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Swanley, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Charles (talk) 08:19, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I can't see this argument ending well. There are too many wiki rules to fight. 1. We don't put external links inside articles. The markup lets us- but WP doesn't accept them. 2. It is not a good idea to have a user name that looks like the name of an organisation. 3. Articles are supposed to be non-POV, and Swanley West is a enclave of reason- within a sea of despair- we have to give more weight to the despair. It would be great if you could come and meet some of us at a London Wikimedia Meetup. --ClemRutter (talk) 09:16, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Swanley. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you.
