License tagging for Image:200366-224.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:200366-224.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:04, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

You said: Hi thanks for the edits which have improved the page. However, I am confused as to why you think that some of the external links were irrelevant? The Muckers are fans of the football team, Blackpool FC. And therefore links to Blackpool FC are surely totally relevant? The other link which was to another football club, fair enough, but links to the team that The Muckers are fans of should be there do you not think? Thanks Tangerines 22:35, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Replied here. Kerrow 23:03, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
The links just seemed out of place, since the article isn't specifically about the football club. As for tidying it up - not a problem. I'll run the article through AWB in a few, which should improve it further. - Dudesleeper · Talk 23:30, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Your additions to Blackpool

I've reverted your additions to Blackpool made here because the text comes directly from a copyrighted source here. Please see WP:COPYVIO. -- Mufka (user) (talk) (contribs) 19:22, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

In response to your question here. The source that you cited seems good. The text added to the article just needs to be paraphrased. The best suggestion I have to do this is to read the source, set it aside and try to recreate what it says in your own words. Paraphrasing will also help to keep the content concise and to the point. The thing is that you can't use any of the existing sentence structure unless you put it in quotes (and that doesn't work well here). Even if you got permission to use the content, it may not flow well with the rest of the article. Also, if you got permission, they might require that it is posted unedited, which is impossible to maintain here. -- Mufka (user) (talk) (contribs) 20:29, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

WP TIBET

YouTube

I've seen the craziest videos on YouTube, but the one you cite doesn't verify anything. I can sing and chant about anything I can imagine. It doesn't prove something exists. A fan group is not something I would consider encyclopedic material, but than again, I haven't seen the entry. Generally speaking it's the sports club that deserves the entry, not the group of fans that like them. Please let me know the name of the article so I can be less vague. - Mgm|(talk) 22:24, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

No prob. Good work expanding it. The notability tag shouldn't have been there; it was left by an Editor with a Gripe. - Dudesleeper · Talk 23:07, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Think you'd be able to find out the top scorers for the four early-90s seasons that are currently blank in the above article? - Dudesleeper · Talk 18:18, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Replied here.
Sure. I can probably work out Ellis' total from Soccerbase by clicking on each league result for that season, but I'll do that another time. - Dudesleeper · Talk 18:41, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedians in Blackpool

I changed the category title to from Blackpool, so you'll need to change it in your user page accordingly. - Dudesleeper · Talk 19:41, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I tried to keep it orange but the background of the arms is white, so it looked pants. I'll try and get the orange back in there. - Dudesleeper · Talk 19:55, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

HI I have commented a little on the talk page of Tibet, From what I can see the changes from my last edit on the page several weeks ago comments such as "Chinese government pointed out that Dalai Lama's government did almost nothing to improve Tibetans' material and political life standard during its self-rule from 1913-1959" are comments in which we have to be very careful with. ALmost nothing. THis is not the kind of comment you would expect from an encyclopedia entry. As a project member I urge you to take whatver action appropriate to prevent damage to the article. Regards ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 21:36, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Yes it is quite a fierce topic of debate. Personally I beleive the Tibetans have a distinct cultural and historical heritage over a substantial land area which would identify them as an independent people from the Chinese but I can see why such controversy is there. However in keeping the article as professional as possible it should not really cite the personal views of the Tibetan exile or the PRC government but should try to focus on purely fact and not veer off with subjective language and if possible balance the argument from a neutral viewpoint. With citing direct quotes it is often very difficult to ensure it is not a biased opinion. Feel free to revert any problems which don't appear to fit this criteria but when editing state why. All the best ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 22:01, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Signature

You like my signature hey? Note the diamonds in it stand for Blofeld's obsession with diamonds in Diamonds are Forever -if you were permitted images I would have had an image of the cat!!!!! However I think your signature would look great as just Tangerines in bright ornage rather than dark orange ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 08:08, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Try this -this is the official colour for tangerine on wikipedia - add #F28500 ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 08:12, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Have you seen the edit count by Xiao ling chong or what ever his name today on the Tibet page? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:04, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Good luck! I have just reworded several poorly phrased sentences by Xiao but I still have my doubts over the source reliability in the PRC evaluation section. Be careful because this article could potentially degrade quite rapidly if controversial claims continue to be added. All the best ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 15:13, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

More than likely - you'd think he was Mao Zedong himself wouldn't you ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 21:17, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Yes please let the project know - but the only way is just to completely blovk out which is damaging to the neutrality of the aritcle is just to just revert any editing, Everybodty of course has a right to contribute but not if it affects the intergrity of the encylopedia. Don't hold back please just remove anything by him that he deem as unsatisfactory -I trust your judgement having read such blatent adverts in the PRC section of the Tibet article myself. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 21:43, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Blackpool Wren Rovers

I can provide some information you require about Blackpool Wren Rovers. Their Manager is Mark Senior, with Stuart Lowe his assistant. Their Colours are Red/Red/Red, while their Change Colours are White&Black/Black/Black&White (I don't know the pattern). The Capacity was last given as 1,000.

Regarding Wyre Villa, officially their Colours are Blue/Black/Blue, with their 2nd Team Colours given as Blue/Blue/Blue (I don't have any more details). There may not be an official Capacity - perhaps 500 would be an estimate.

I hope that this is useful. Higherwiki 12:00, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
