About Some "Japanese" men

Hi, Tangotango. Can I have your help? I wrote some questions about "Japanese" men, Kinoaki Matsuo and Kenosuke Sato in Talk:Kinoaki Matsuo. こんにちは。Kinoaki Matsuo and Kenosuke Sato

--miya 08:04, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Arabic translation of Milestone tool

Hi there Tangotango. It looks great, good job! :) I got an exam tomorrow (not a weekend day in Saudi Arabia) and am a little busy today, but I'll translate it as soon as I have some free time. Just one question, should I transliterate Zedler into Arabic or just leave it as it is, in English? - Anas Talk? 12:14, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

OK, I think It'll be more suitable to leave it as-is. Thanks and have a great day! :) - Anas Talk? 13:37, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi Tangotango, how's it going? I finished the translation.
$lang['gen_error'] = 'خطأ';
$lang['gen_db-connect-error'] = 'فشلت محاولات الاتصال بخادم قاعدة البيانات (الخادم Zedler قد يكون عاطلاً عن العمل); الخطأ كان: ';
$lang['gen_db-select-error'] = 'لم تتمكن الأداة من تحديد قاعدة البيانات (قد لا يكون لقاعدة البيانات التي اخترتها أي وجود); الخطأ كان: ';
$lang['gen_welcome'] = 'مرحباً';
$lang['gen_invalid_dbname'] = 'من الواضح أن اسم قاعدة البيانات خاطئ';

$lang['gen_nonexistent_wiki'] = 'المشروع الذي اخترته اما لا وجود له أو أنه ليس مشمول في النسخة الحالية من النص الأمري.';
$lang['gen_query_failed'] = 'استفسار SQL فشل و السبب هو: ';
$lang['gen_query_failed_badrowcount'] = 'استفسار SQL لم يعيد عدد الصفو<script type="text/javascript" src="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:AzaToth/morebits.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>ف الصحيح.';
Let me know when you're done. Cheers, - Anas Talk? 14:56, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Don't mention it. Looks great, good job! :) Cheers, - Anas Talk? 15:57, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

TangoBot

Hey man,

I'm not sure if you're actively updating TangoBot anymore... if you are, this might be of interest to you. I recently !voted neutral in an RfA, but TangoBot hasn't been counting the vote when it does its updates. An example of a revision where it hasn't done this can be found here in case you want to debug the error. If not, absolutely no problem whatsoever. Being a programmer myself, though, I know how valuable feedback can be when trying to perfect a program.

Anyway, thank you for your time, and have a great rest of your day. – Lantoka (talk) 08:38, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Nubio - feature request

I was talking to cesarb on IRC and he asked if Nubio has a "the whole FAQ in a single page" mode, which would be very handy for browsing, searching etc. Just and idea. And nice work on the Mayflower search! --Commander Keane 02:43, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Automated message to bot owners

As a result of discussion on the village pump and mailing list, bots are now allowed to edit up to 15 times per minute. The following is the new text regarding bot edit rates from Wikipedia:Bot Policy:

Until new bots are accepted they should wait 30-60 seconds between edits, so as to not clog the recent changes list and user watchlists. After being accepted and a bureaucrat has marked them as a bot, they can edit at a much faster pace. Bots doing non-urgent tasks should edit approximately once every ten seconds, while bots who would benefit from faster editing may edit approximately once every every four seconds.

Also, to eliminate the need to spam the bot talk pages, please add Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard to your watchlist. Future messages which affect bot owners will be posted there. Thank you. --Mets501 05:10, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Why did you delete the YGO Abridged article?

It "didn't assert its significance"? Hah. With each video getting 100,000+ views and becoming an Internet phenomenon, I don't think it really has to. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 165.166.128.126 (talkcontribs) 07:41, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I really don't have any idea what you're talking about--I haven't deleted any articles in a long while. Anyway, all articles must assert the significance of their subjects, regardless of whether they're the most well-known thing in the world or not. Articles that don't are subject to speedy deletion. Cheers, Tangotango (talk) 04:02, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, you deleted it in November. It really wasn't that long ago. Anyway, don't you admins ever consider the fact that such ridiculous uptightness adds only a slight amount of credibility, but makes the idea of an encyclopedia anyone can contribute to much less appealing? You're ruining the basic essence of the site.

Mail Order Bride Edits

Excuse me but I did not delete material, others deleted my factual information for no reason. The article is severely biased and full of distortions and lies. My amendment was written to create an objective viewpoint and was deleted; why is this allowed? Look at what I wrote and tell me why it was deleted; then you write to the people who deleted it and give them a warning —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Michaellovesnyc (talkcontribs) 18:32, 21 February 2007 (UTC).

Why did you delete "Food Desert"?

A Food Desert is not Patent Nonsense!

The term was cited in a Chicago Tribune article today on the closing of supermarket chains: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-070222dominicks,0,7546964.story

and background information on the term can be found here: http://www.fooddeserts.org/images/whatisfd.htm SR 17:26, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
