Welcome

[edit]

Just wanted to say hi on Wikipedia too :). Really exciting to have you here. Femke (talk) 16:09, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Femke! TatjanaBaleta (talk) 13:58, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome and one of the gaps I think needs filling

[edit]

Hello Tatjana,

Excellent news. I expect you have already had loads of suggestions on what needs doing so I won’t be offended if you tell me this is out of your scope. I wonder if any of your students or academics are able to explain economics well. I don’t know much about economics and I find some of the articles about climate change and economics hard to understand. I suspect some of them have too much detail but not enough examples related to everyday life in 2022. For example Economics of climate change mitigation has some out of date sections and some which are hard to understand.

Regards

Wonderful, thank you for sharing! We're actually still in the process of determining scope/focal points, so suggestions are welcome! TatjanaBaleta (talk) 09:39, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia UK Training & Editathon

[edit]

Hello again TatjanaClimate! It was great to see you last week, and I hope that you enjoyed the session & training.

I just wanted to drop by and see if you had any questions after the event - do drop me a line if there's ever anything I can do to help.

The results of Thursday evening's work can be seen here, and so far there have been over 19k pageviews of the articles we edited.

All the very best, and thanks again for taking part! Sara Thomas (WMUK) (talk) 17:11, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Sara! TatjanaBaleta (talk) 05:55, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Delighted you're working on climate!

[edit]

Hello Tatjana, just now spotting your note over on the WP Climate Change talk page. I try to contribute what I can to Wiki here and there, but am not currently in a position to create polished, finished articles. So please feel free to build on anything I have started!

There's some material in my sandbox on dairy production and climate change from back in 2020 which you may find interesting. I mostly found info on California. A lot more information would be available now, for example, Biomethane and CA utilities, Sample dairy projects in CA, Hogs and biomethane in CA, Gerneral 2022 article, 2023 Gates startup, 2023 Danone announcement, 2022 American Dairymen ... etc.

Hopefully your academic contacts would be able to locate peer reviewed research, beyond these little snippets.

I'm only on wiki once in a while now, but looking forward to hearing more about your editathons. Oliveleaf4 (talk) 16:31, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Oliveleaf4, thanks for your message! I took a look at your sandbox - looks like this could be good info for the Greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture article. If you're happy for me to, I can see if I can have an expert look these over along with the Greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture article, and add this info to the page?
Thanks for your interest in the ediathons. I'm planning to hold them on the last Thursday of every month until September, you're welcome to join one if you like. TatjanaBaleta (talk) 07:28, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you can find editors who can use some or all of the info in the sandbox, that would be great. Looking forward to checking out your editathons if time becomes available! ---- Oliveleaf4 (talk) 01:18, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, just to let you know, there's an editathon happening next week Thursday at 3:30pm UK time.
More details here. TatjanaBaleta (talk) 10:21, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have done the easy part of the merge - over to you for the thinking part - be bold Chidgk1 (talk) 13:27, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks @Chidgk1! TatjanaClimate (talk) 13:34, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
