Proposed deletion of NirCmd
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article NirCmd, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
No assertion of notability
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I have already uploaded a new version. Can you do a cleanup of the image. There are some white edges remaining. I think the above information is significant since it can save the readers money instead of buying a new upgrade. On a side note can you please update the infobox of the Norton AntiVirus article. --Tyw7 (Talk ● Contributions) Leading Innovations >>> 23:04, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
I'll be taking a look. TechOutsider (talk) 23:07, 13 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
As for NAV, just fill the infobox with the same info found in NIS. TechOutsider (talk) 23:12, 13 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
Yo. You need to scale the image down. It's too big and not web-res, per say. It still looks fuzzy when viewed at reduced res. TechOutsider (talk) 23:17, 13 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
I have NAV TechOutsider (talk) 02:19, 14 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
Done! A new version with "default" theme is uploaded. Can you do a cleanup of the image. There are some white edges remaining. On a side note, I think the information of the free upgrade is significant since it can save the readers money instead of buying a new upgrade. --Tyw7 (Talk ● Contributions) Leading Innovations >>> 18:01, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
You will need third-party sources, not just a website from Symantec.com TechOutsider (talk) 20:44, 15 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
I have uploaded two version, one cropped using ms paint and one using Adobe Photoshop Elements. The two versions are clearly stated in the comments page. As with my other images, please do a clean up if needed. --Tyw7 (Talk ● Contributions) Leading Innovations >>> 04:15, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Hey, TechOutsider. I noticed you've listed a few articles for AFD. Please follow the rest of the instructions on the appropriate article pages to begin the deletion discussion, you need to create the individual AFD pages.Spring12 (talk) 22:05, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Talk:Norton AntiVirus/Archive 2
I have nominated Talk:Norton AntiVirus/Archive 2, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Talk:Norton AntiVirus/Archive 2. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Norton 360 Screenshot
Do you have a screenshot of the latest stable release of Norton 360. The one listed is of a pre-release software. I am sure that someone has a stable version 3. Please update the screenshot. As you may have noticed, I have Norton Internet Security. --Tyw7 (Talk ● Contributions) Leading Innovations >>> 14:02, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
I might muster up the patience to install that junk Symantec is marketing. TechOutsider (talk) 23:37, 24 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
Why is Norton 360 junk? I not making fun, I just want to know. Based on their advertising, I though that Norton 360 is the flagship product of Symantec, as with every renewal, they are nagging me to go 360, ditching the Norton Internet Security. Which is better in your opinion, Norton Internet Security or Norton 360 v3. --Tyw7 (Talk ● Contributions) Leading Innovations >>> 23:46, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
N360 is just NIS's menus cut and paste all over the place. No innovation. And too many pop-up notifications; many which are simply useless. Just run Norton Insight, press "Refresh" and you get a popup. The interface feels clunky. I hate how each window now flashes when hovered over. NIS is ok, however I don't need a separate firewall. I use NAV. TechOutsider (talk) 23:34, 27 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
Misabot
Instead of manually archiving articles, why don't you let Misza Bot do the job. Just see the top of my talk page for an example. You can change the interval and the folder. Just search for Misza bot (I don't know the correct spelling). --Tyw7 (Talk ● Contributions) Leading Innovations >>> 23:48, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
I have already place an auto Miszabot command translusion (whatever you want to call it) on top of the Norton Internet Security. To auto achive use the following commands:
Just a quick request to ask you to use edit summaries more often, even if just fixing something, typing "fix" as an edit summary is more useful than none at all, I'm sure I don't need to give you the standard template, you have been here for long enough! Jenuk1985 | Talk 01:45, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Hmm I've been using edit summaries since a couple days ago. I've been very specific too; "fix wikilink "MP3" or something to that effect. Maybe I missed one or two...TechOutsider (talk) 01:48, 25 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
Please don't take this the wrong way, as I'm only trying to help you (and other editors who wish to see at a glance what the edit is), if you look at your recent contributions, there are a lot of gaps where edit summaries should really have been provided. Also its worth noting that the default summary when editing a section (where it just lists the title of the section), is equally not useful, and should be expanded to say what you have done. It doesn't need to be wordy, a single word will do in many cases (e.g. for this, I will add to the end of the summary "reply"). Nobody is perfect, I understand that, I forget edit summaries too sometimes. Jenuk1985 | Talk 01:52, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey long time no see! I'm fine. Loving Gimp. Thanks for downsizing the picture. It probably would have been downsized anyways; several users have complainedTechOutsider (talk) 12:16, 29 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
RE: the GA. I'll need to look a little closer to be sure, but I'm wondering if you're trancluding category with projects. I think that once an article makes GA, the category really isn't an issue. I would think that NIS would fall under the Wikipedia:WikiProject Computing as far as assessment. Maybe here would be the place to ask?
Hi Tech, you accidentally added comments to an old peer review, but you should remove that and place it here. That said, there is nothing wrong with you adding such comments to the regular talk page. Best. :) — R2 03:21, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
NIS Help
Hello there, you asked me to create an account so i did. I am happy to help you. Please let me know how you would like me to help you. I only worked at Symantec for less than a year but did work at WholeSecurity so i do know a bit about all that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Beecaver67 (talk • contribs) 07:23, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
Great! Could you read Norton Internet Security? I would love to have a third opinion on the article, and some fact checking. Remember to sign your name using the four tides ... 12:27, 31 March 2009 (UTC)(your username here) TechOutsider (talk) 12:27, 31 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
What do you mean, cleanup? Those are the old icons; pretaining to eariler versions of NIS/NAV. TechOutsider (talk) 20:34, 31 March 2009 (UTC)TechOutsider
It was hard. Next time I'm going to pick a narrow(er) topic. TechOutsider (talk) 01:31, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Indeed! My taking another look is probably moot now, TechOutsider, as it's since been reviewed. I wish you luck with those future endeavors! –Whitehorse1 20:10, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
No wonder most articles with GA status concern local events; I see Ched's working on a raceway. TechOutsider (talk) 22:29, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Well we can collaborate then. After I tweak it some I might get a peer review. TechOutsider (talk) 13:14, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
How about now. There is no activity in the N360 article. Have you given up the article or are still interested. P.S. This message is typed through another WiFi network, hence a different IP address. --Tyw7 (Talk ● Contributions) Leading Innovations >>>
I'm thinking about the article. It still doesn't flow just right. Yeah, I'll just get a peer review. TechOutsider' (talk) 00:14, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
Hey there TechOutsider - I have no idea what your views on it are, but I just wanted to stop by and say Happy Easter. If it's not a day you celebrate, then I'll say Happy "just another day". Hope all is going well. ;) — Ched : ? 21:08, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! Happy Easter to you too! TechOutsider (talk) 21:09, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks
Your comments at PR were most helpful. Thank you. MBisanztalk 22:59, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. No problem, it's my pleasure. I once worked at Lucent Tech., and found your article to be interesting. Also, I was hoping my article, Norton 360, would be peer reviewed quicker; peer reviewing another person's article makes them feel good :) and hopefully they will look in to the backlogs, like I did. Reflist
Please note the following regarding the use of multiple columns on the reflist documentation section:
{{reflist|3}} will create a three-column list. Three-column lists are inaccessible to users with smaller/laptop monitors and should be avoided.
I can't review it; I already tried to give it an informal assessment and couldn't come up with any problems =\. And you are not supposed to review an article you have contributed significantly to. Are you reviewing the article? You may qualify.TechOutsider (talk) 00:02, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
I don't know if you saw the peer review; however the article may need a Reception section. Let's hold off the GA review, what do you think? TechOutsider (talk) 00:06, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

I generally make it for one of the days, just to sample the food. Pictures would be a nice addition to the article. Mgreason (talk) 20:38, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
