The article Ana Fernandez (Miranda Texidor) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Proposed deletion of Ana Fernandez (Miranda Texidor)[edit]

The article Ana Fernandez (Miranda Texidor) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Shortly after this article was created, a user proposed it for deletion, however another user removed the tag stating that the biography had sufficient sources to be in Wikipedia, but after a close look and examination to these sources I have a serious doubt that this article should be in Wikipedia. I have search for reliable secondary sources, and have done several internet searches, but I am unable to find a source that proves her notability. Surely she has a great curriculum, but this is not evidence of notability, I will list all the issues that I have found. First of all this biography should be deleted because it does not comply with the guidelines of notability recommended by Wikipedia. Ana Fernandez is not included in any reliable secondary source of Ecuadorian artists, such as Enciclopedia Salvat de arte ecuatoriano, were most outstanding Ecuadorian artist are included or in any of the artist lists of Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana. There is not even any mention in any of the local newspapers that demonstrate her notability. Secondly, all of the references that were provided in this article come from primary sources and are not reliable. The book cited in one of the references is a self-published source, it was written and published by the person in the biography, Ana Fernandez. The second source is from an artist portal called ArtSlant.com were any artist can register and create their own profile 1. The third source is Gachi Prieto Gallery, were art works are sold, once again a primary source and promotional. Additionally, Gachi Prieto website does not even mention her in the artist section. Finally, the last source is a blog called Exchange rate, which allowed artists, around the world, to share their artistic performances during the 2008 US elections, clearly not a trustworthy source of notability. Finally, after reviewing the article history, it seems that it was probably created and written by Ana Fernandez (Miranda Texidor), because her name matches the username who created it.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
