[edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:53, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I apologise Oshwah, I was trying to create a page about The Oceania Project which is a Cetacean research organisation. I have absolutely no intention of using Wikipedia for promotion of The Oceania Project I simply wanted to create a page referencing the research of the organisation. I misunderstood the user name policy and I named the editing account the same name as the subject. I apologise. If you consider that I as a Cetacean researcher am too close to the subject matter of the page I intend to create then I understand completely and I will desist and continue to reference Wikipedia rather than contribute to it. Thank you for your understanding. I wish you well for your continuing contributions to Wikipedia. I consider it to be an invaluable resource and will continue to use and support Wikipedia in the future.

Decline reason:

No response to either admin below in a week. Please feel free to open a new request when you are able to communicate with us, and have chosen a different new username. SQLQuery me! 18:28, 25 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you agree to not edit about your organization, what will you edit about instead? 331dot (talk) 22:22, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The chosen username is too similar to an existing username: Ishtara. Please modify your unblock with another selection.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 11:25, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
