A tag has been placed on your user page, User:The Willin Fools, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 331dot (talk) 08:51, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and welcome. I think you may have some misconceptions about what Wikipedia is. This is an encyclopedia, where article subjects must be shown with independent reliable sources to be notable. This is not social media for you to just tell the world about your band. Wikipedia is more selective about its content. As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia has no interest in what an article subject says about itself, but is interested in what third parties state about it.
From your username I gather that you are a member of this band. That is what Wikipedia calls a conflict of interest(click to review). Wikipedia highly discourages article subjects or people associated with them from directly writing about themselves. There are indirect ways to do so, but as I state above, you must have proper sources that indicate notability in order to do so. You may wish to review the notability guidelines for bands at WP:BAND to see if your band meets any of them. If it does not, it will not be possible to have an article about your band at this time.
The other issue is that you have chosen the name of your band as your username; this is not permitted per the username policy(click to review). Usernames must indicate an individual user. You don't have to use your real name, just something that indicates you and only you are using this username. To change your username now, please visit this page for instructions. If you have any other questions, please ask. 331dot (talk) 09:46, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 11:17, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
