Request reason:

To whom it may concern: Hi, my name is therealjenny, and I am writing to ask for my block to be repealed. As you probably know, my account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of 'vandalism', referring to my first edits as a Wikipedia user, on the pages for the Star Wars films The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. Let me assure you that this was not malicious but rather a clumsy error on my part. I have not seen any of these films for quite some time, retaining a dim memory of them at best (bizarrely, the only character I remember is the woman with pink hair from The Last Jedi), and so when I came across a piece of fanfiction purporting to be a novelisation of the film, while in reality including a character named 'Dan Solo' played by Tom Cruise, I believed every word. It even had a faux author bio of Cruise's character at the end, detailing supposed critical acclaim (what was more, the entire fic was written in Spanish, so Google Translate may have distorted it somewhat). Strangely, I could have sworn I remembered Cruise's involvement in the films. I went onto the Wikipedia page to see if I could find out more, but there was no mention of 'Dan Solo'. Being an inexperienced rookie, I incorrectly assumed that the page had been vandalised, and carried out what I believed to be corrections but were themselves vandalisms. My sincerest apologies for any disruption caused, and if my account could be reinstated I would be enormously grateful. On a side note, I still believe that Tom Cruise was in something like Star Wars, but I have no idea what - if anyone more helpful than the Google algorithms could help me, that would be much appreciated.Therealjenny (talk) 09:06, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I don't believe this for a second. Your claim would have been more believable if you had at least linked to your sources, though obviously such a troll wouldn't lead to you actually being unblocked. Yamla (talk) 11:18, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
