medium.com[edit]

Please have a look at WP:SPS. medium.com is blogging platform; we can't use it as a source. And while you're at it, please read about Richard Jewell. It's better to be right that be quick, when dealing with WP:BLPCRIME matters. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 22:57, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and either [redacted] is one huge coincidence, or the "Picadilly Times" just makes stuff up. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 23:00, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to assume you didn't see my first message before making that last edit. Please stop now. This isn't a joking matter. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 23:02, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't joke. Frank Mortenson was reported as the shooter's name, and I am inserting it based on Wikipedia principle that blog content may be allowed as the reference in cases when it reflects the police statements. The police statement is present, and they name Mortenson as a suspect. --Thomasrobbe (talk) 23:04, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Take a closer look at the Picadilly Times. They're clearly publishing hoax content. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 23:06, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And now you've linked to the OC Sheriff landing page. What is anyone supposed to do with that? Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 23:18, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for contributing to the article Laguna Woods church shooting. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, your own website, websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight, expressing views that are widely acknowledged as extremist, that are promotional in nature, or that rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions, as one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Thank you. Love of Corey (talk) 23:09, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Thomasrobbe! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Laguna Woods church shooting several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Laguna Woods church shooting, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Love of Corey (talk) 23:17, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory or otherwise controversial content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Laguna Woods church shooting. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 23:20, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And that goes for your IP, 90.131.34.62 too. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 23:21, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's not my IP. And Forbes is a real source, unlike someone claimed. --Thomasrobbe (talk) 23:22, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at the source provided. I didn't see a suspect's name anywhere in there. Love of Corey (talk) 23:23, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
