Stop icon Do not add personal information about other contributors to Wikipedia without their explicit permission. Wikipedia operates on the principle that every contributor has the right to remain completely anonymous. Posting personal information about another user is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's harassment policy. Wikipedia policy on this issue is strictly enforced and your edits have been reverted and/or suppressed, not least because such information can appear on web searches. The second link to an outside site you gave was signed with a real name. Possibly (talk) 22:48, 6 February 2021 (UTC) Possibly (talk) 22:48, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Possibly: Sorry, I missed that. I realise I’m not coming across well here. The page that included his real name has since been deleted by RationalWiki moderators, and the user has been banned (for “excessively offensive comments”); in light of this, would it be alright to put the surviving link that didn’t include personal info back? Throwaway314 (talk) 22:55, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'd just stay away from disclosing off-wiki information, seeing as you have already violated the outing policy. We already have enough to look at the situation. A number of very good editors have contributed to the page, so it is unliklely that it needs to be deleted or have major changes. That leaves just leaves the COI issue. Possibly (talk) 22:59, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Possibly: That’s fair enough, I’ll drop it. The contributions of editors other than BerlinburgerTor appear to be largely superficial, adding categories etc. The AFD from two years ago mentions support of child rape and refers to him as an extremist without challenge, which the article only touches on briefly in an attempt at debunking. The article in its current form completely whitewashes him, whether Wikipedia policy is to encourage a rewrite or just scrap the article in this scenario (given the accusations of COI) I don’t know. Yes I am starting to see the POV problems, and will bring it to the attention of those with skills in that area. Are these your first edits to wikipedia? Why not register a more convincing name, and join us? Possibly (talk) 23:18, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Possibly: I’ve had accounts here in the past, and if it wasn’t obvious I edit other Wikis. I’ve always hated the bureaucracy of this site (figuring out that I should make a post in WP:COI was hard enough, and I noticed afterwards that I probably should’ve posted to the living persons noticeboard or something), as much as it’s necessary given its size. I may well create a proper account if only to make the Kirkegaard article more neutral, I don’t want to see misinformation spread. Project skepticism sounds like my sort of thing.
Sorry for all the user mentions. Throwaway314 (talk) 23:28, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well you seem to have an excellent grip on how things work! I think you would be a great editor, so I welcome/encourage you to come aboard. You could keep this account, WP:RENAME it or just abandon it and create a new one. People with a conscience, which you have demonstrated, tend to make good editors.
