Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company, organization, or clients. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

The User page describe our magazine (TIC Magazine), a free moroccan french speaking magazine specialized dedicated to IT Domain. I wished through my user page to let everubody know that we can innovate also in morocco so as to put in place a good projet like TIC Magazine Review. By the way, I had the idea to create this user page since I red the "Technology review user page" : "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technology_Review". So, I understand the reason for your block and I'll not repeat the edits for which I were blocked.

Decline reason:

It's not just your edits, but that your username violates our username policy and cannot be used to edit Wikipedia. Here are a few key questions: You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 21:00, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The magazine name is TIC Magazine. The user name can't appear under an other name (The same as "Technology review" : "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technology_Review". You indicate that you understand the reason for your block, but contradict yourself by saying that you do not wish to change your user name. As indicated, this user name is not allowed, plain and simple. Kinu t/c 21:30, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I propose this user name wishing that it respects te wikipedia username policy. If Note, could you please help me to choose another (could you please take a look to "Technology review user page" : "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technology_Review". It's the same think that i wish create. Thank you in advance.

Decline reason:

Technology Review is not a user page, it is an encyclopedia article. There is no User:Technology Review, and that username would not be allowed. User pages are not for that kind of material - see WP:User pages. You must choose a username which will represent only you as an individual person, and which is not the name of any organization or magazine. You should also read Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest and confirm that you do not intend to edit directly about your magazine. OK, thank you vey much for your notes. Shall I chosse this username. 'M' corresponds to Mohamed, my first name and Lahlou is my last name.

Decline reason:

As far as I know, that user name would be fine. However, you have not addressed the other issues in the block notice. Your statement that you wish to "to let everubody know that [you] can innovate also in morocco so as to put in place a good projet like TIC Magazine Review" appears to indicate that your intention is to promote your magazine. I strongly suggest that, if you are thinking of making yet another unblock request, you first carefully re-read the whole of the block notice, especially the section that starts "You are still welcome to write about something other than your company..." JamesBWatson (talk) 20:53, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I still see no real addressing of the issues I raised in your declined unblock:

  • Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
  • Do you understand conflict of interest?
  • Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?

Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 17:08, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
