Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Tigertas. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Louise Bloomfield (Alderman), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:56, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was asked if I had a conflict when I started the page. I have never started a page before, I have done minor edits but I have found myself with more time on my hands. My aim was to start adding pages of local identities from where I live (Tasmania). Tigertas (talk) 09:43, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but that doesn't really answer the question – do you have any sort of an external, ie. 'IRL' relationship with the subject? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:55, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No I dont. Tigertas (talk) 12:51, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You uploaded the photo as your own work. This suggests you've been at close quarters with the person in question, who posed for you? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:00, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I found the photo online and edited it. Look I had enough of this I don’t really care about the subject matter and haven’t got the energy to be cross examined like I’m at the witness box. I was looking for a hobby in my retirement and clearly Wikipedia is not going to be it. Delete the page. Tigertas (talk) 22:52, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
