Repost of Fangtasia

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Fangtasia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Hi there Tkriss, firstly, thanks for your polite message. "This name" is a user (that's me :D), I'm another person editing Wikipedia, just like you. By the way, the way I left my name (and therefore let you know who I am), was by add ~~~~ after my comment. You can do this too; when ever you leave a comment on a talk page, add ~~~~ after it, to produce your "signature".
Anyway, about the article. Here on Wikipedia. some articles get deleted, there are various ways of deleting an article, the one in question was deleted through a "deletion discussion", which is where a number of editors get together, and discuss weather the article should be deleted or not. In this case, this article was deleted. And therefore it should not be recreated, unless there is another discussion where the consensus is to keep the article. Hope all of that makes sense :).
Now if you want to start up a discussion about weather this article should be kept, you can use this page; deletion review. Click on the link, and follow the instructions, if anything there (or anything which I've said) doesn't make sense, or you need any help, just ask again on my talk page. Best, - Kingpin13 (talk) 19:45, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry at all about asking me questions, I'm more than happy to help :). As to merging/redirecting a page, this refers to adding the content of one page to a larger "parent" article, and then making the smaller page redirect to the "parent". To add a link (like this), you just need to place double-square brackets around the text you want to link (the link is internal, so will go to the Wikipedia page with that title). for example [[True Blood]] will link to True Blood. If you want to redirect the whole article, then replace the content with #REDIRECT [[PAGE_TO_REDIRECT_TO]] (see Help:Redirect for more). Again, I hope that makes sense (you can practice editing at this page).
To merge this page to True Blood, just create a new section (create sections by adding equal marks around the section header, for example, the text "Repost of Fangtasia" is this sections header, and the code used in the edit box is ==Repost of Fangtasia==). So under the "characters and cast" section, create ==Locations==. Then into this section, write about Fangtasia.
Again, be sure to ask me if you need a hand. Also, reading through the deletion discussion, it seems the main problem is there are no sources for the article. If you could find some sources (see WP:SOURCE), then that would be really great :). If you do find sources, I'll be happy to help you cite them (i.e. add them to the text). - Kingpin13 (talk) 21:35, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
