{{helpme|Where can I begin to start?}}--Tmwps (talk) 17:48, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean how can you help Wikipedia? If so check out the "Help Out" section of the Community Portal. It lists many of the things that need doing such as finding sources for articles, wikifying and patrolling pages for vandalism. Alternatively you can check out the Reward Board where users post looking for help on specific articles. I hope that was of some help for you. If it wasn't then feel free to put the help tag back on your user page to get more help. -Noosentaal·talk· 18:50, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I thought I was supposed to put it on my talkpage, but oh well...--Tmwps (talk) 16:22, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please use your talk page to ask for help, and to discuss things. I made a mistake before, by putting that 'welcome' on your user page - it should have been on your talk page, and another user moved it over.
The user page is for you. By convention, people will not normally edit your user page.
The talk page is a free-for-all, usually used to discuss things (like this). You can create a new section by putting == A new section ==, which will do this;

A new section

I hope this helps; Good luck, happy editing. --  Chzz  ►  16:38, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]
Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello, Tmwps. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started.

  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit on wikipedia, so, if you like, just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, and ignore all rules, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • I suggest that you try to improve a few articles first, before you make your own. Maybe look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.
  • If you need help, please ask! Edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

If you want to know more, there's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of wikipedia!

I was that user who moved it over.--Tmwps (talk) 16:41, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I just noticed that! Thanks.

Regarding your page Mw chat, it's in the wrong place - it's in mainspace, like a regular wikipedia article. So if anyone searches wikipedia for 'mw chat' they'll get that page. It will be deleted very soon.

Your personal pages need to go underneath this page, or your user page. So, for example, User:Tmwps/my chat or User talk:Tmwps/my chat.

Thanks, --  Chzz  ►  16:49, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What, in order to check if he's recreated it yet again i.e. asking to be blocked for quite some time? I can imagine. Also, not User talk:Tmwps/my chat, or SineBot will sign it.--Tmwps (talk) 16:55, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I, Robot (short story)/Comments

[edit]

Hi,

You don't need to create a subpage like that to put comments on an article.

Your comments should go in the talk page of the article, which you can access by going to the 'discussion' tab.

So, in this case, you should put your suggestion in Talk:I, Robot (short story).

Create a new section in there with == Suggestion ==.

Thanks. --  Chzz  ►  16:58, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, it needs to be called I, Robot (short story) to distinguish it from I, Robot by Isaac_Asimov. --  Chzz  ►  17:08, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Tmwps (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

If anyone would like, I can explain why I am the vandal I am.

Decline reason:

Your request to be unblocked is declined because it does not address the reason for your block or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince administrators either (a) that the block was made in error or (b) that the block is no longer necessary because you understand what you are blocked for, you will not do it again and you will make productive contributions instead. Please read our guide to appealing blocks for more information.  Sandstein  12:28, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I don't understand what you mean--Tmwps (talk) 13:09, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
