B. Doherty and This is Burning Man

[edit]

I ran into Brian Doherty on the playa in 2004 where he was debating with himself about whether or not to try and read his entire manuscript (for This Is Burning Man) out by the man that night. I encouraged him, in the spirit of event, to go for it. I heard later his friends hauled him off the playa with a hoarse voice many hours later. I have a copy of the book but haven't read it yet. I will do so soon. Happy burning everyone. Kit 22:06, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Burning Man Project" Academic Source

[edit]

Burning Man Project Six academic papers on the Man by [Michigan State University]'s Jeremy Hockett has some really useful information on discussing the meaning and philosophy of the event. This is a religious studies student looking at Bman from the perspective of a new religious movement. Kit 05:04, 23 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
